The Bloody Foreland (The hill of blood) is located in the town land of Brinlack on the R257 road and has stunning views over looking the Atlantic Ocean. The name itself doesn’t originate from some bloody battle but it is from the sun set which reflects a tone of red from the rocks and fields.
The Bloody Foreland and surrounding area is a very rural but is heavily populated with agricultural being the main source of income for many. Most of the fields are separated by miles of stone walls which is a famous landmark for the area, alongside its stunning scenery.
The best time of year to see the Bloody Foreland in its glory is during the autumn months when the sun sets lights up the area in a bloody red tone.
